Apparently I didn’t look at the images closely, and that’s also the only place you’re be able to clearly see that this isn’t the Apple replacement part for the battery.
It seems to be performing well so I expect I’ll keep it, but for anyone else who either wasn’t reading super-critically or didn’t take a look at the pictures, I just wanted to note that if you want the genuine Apple replacement, keep clicking.

Just got this battery 5 days ago. Fit and finish are perfect. Through 3 cycles so far, getting 4 hours plus with web surfing via wifi. Watching video (hulu, youtube (flash based) etc.) the cpu is around 50% (ugh!) and my Macbook Pro (2.4 GHz, 2007 edition) gets hot, not the battery — battery lasts about 2 hours.

Cheap price comes with cheap fit and finish. I didn’t expect OEM quality for this price. However, I did expect a fair quality product. This battery isn’t it. Fitting into the laptop was super hard as the parts of the battery casing aren’t properly aligned. The silver aluminum was pulling away from the plastic housing, creating a bulge that protrudes past the bottom of the laptop by more than a 1/4 inch. Everything negative about this battery so far seems to be limited to cosmetic quality and fitment in the laptop. The battery is going back for a refund.

The battery fits well – no looseness at all. It has 3 hrs of charge life with normal email and surfing use. It charges quickly and does not get hot like the original Apple battery. I do wish it held a charge longer, but for the money, it seems like a good deal.

Whatever you do, do not buy this battery. It doesn’t fit as precisely as an Apple original and the charge meter is WAY off and it doesn’t hold a charge longer than an hour and a half. If you buy this you will regret it.
